How to choose a garment manufacturing partner
A short checklist of what to compare before you place an order — whether it's CMT, embroidery, printing or all of them.
1. Which services do you actually need?
Decide whether you need the full garment (cut, make, trim) or specific processes like embroidery or printing. A partner that offers several can coordinate them on one order, but you should never have to buy services you don't need.
2. Ask for a sample before bulk
A sample confirms fit, colour, placement and quality before you commit to a run. Check how sampling works and how changes are handled.
3. Understand the production method
Different methods suit different jobs. For embroidery, computer embroidery, manually operated machine embroidery and hand-worked adda work give different results, pricing and lead times — ask which one your design needs.
4. Check how quality is controlled
Ask where quality checks happen — during production, at finishing, and before packing — and what happens when something fails.
5. Be clear on quantities and timelines
Share your expected quantity and delivery date early. Confirm minimums, scheduling and what a realistic timeline looks like for sample and bulk.
6. Look for clear communication
A good partner gives clear quotes, a single point of contact and straight answers on feasibility.
